A consortium comprising Megawide Construction has emerged as the frontrunner for the Philippines Southwest Terminal of the Integrated Transport System (ITS) project.
The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) has opened the financial bids of the two shortlisted bidders – Megawide’s MWM Terminals and a bid from Filinvest Land – and has revealed that MWM offered the lowest annual grantor payment (AGP).
Under the Philippines’ procurement model, the bidder with lowest AGP will win the ITS Southwest terminal project, subject to the final evaluation of the Special Bids and Awards Committee.
The project will see the winning bidder provide a central transport terminal where all modes of transport will be available on one location. The contract will run for 35 years, including the construction period.
