Dublin City Council has issued a prior information notice (PIN) to gain market views on its proposed housing programme.
The authority is assessing its procurement of private and public housing with a view to potentially launching a tender process for the delivery of the new properties.
It has identified three sites in Dublin where it will explore the potential for developments of both public and private housing.
Under the PIN, Dublin is planning to hold a series of informal discussions with the market. It then intends to begin the formal award procedures from 27 February.
In October last year, Dublin City Council confirmed plans for new investment in its housing stock, suggesting institutional investors could plough money into almost 1,500 new homes through a PPP initiative.
