The Philippines government has launched the invitation to pre-qualify and bid for its regional airports PPP bundles.
The PPP Center organized a pre-qualification conference where the invitation has been issued. A number of companies showed their interest in bidding for the schemes.
Under the procedures, the projects will be divided into two bundles. The first will contain Bacolod-Silay Airport and Iloilo Airport, while the second package covers the New Bohol (Panglao) Airport, Laguindingan Airport and Davao Airport.
Interested parties have until 18 May to submit their qualification documents. It was explained at the conference that companies are free to bid for both bundles, but will only be able to win one.
In March, the government revealed it had dropped the Puerto Princesa airport project from the programme, with that project potentially to be tendered as part of a different package
