PPP will help to boost homegrown aviation industry: Islamabad

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Atif Ikram Sheikh with delegates visited the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) on Friday to explore the role of private sector in the homegrown advancement of aviation industry. Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Board, Air Marshal Arshad Malik, Chairman, also informed the ICCI delegation about the role of PAC in strengthening Pakistan Armed forces by meeting the needs of the aviation industry. “Pakistan had achieved remarkable progress in the homegrown production of aircrafts also the country had a great potential to promote exports of defense products”, he added. He encouraged the private sector to discover all possibilities of collaboration in the aviation industry. A comprehensive presentation about the activities of PAC was also given to ICCI delegation which indicated the potential areas of public-private partnership in the aviation sector. ICCI delegation also visited various components of PAC to see all possibilities of private sector collaboration in the various manufacturing activities. ICCI President, Atif Ikram Sheikh, also spoke on the event and thanked both Chairman PAC and his team for according the delegation a warm welcome and great hospitality. He also showed great confidence regarding the encouraging approach of Chairman PAC and believed that a continuous communication between the two organisations would be instrumental in carving out a way forward for the private sector in the homegrown advancement of aviation industry.   Source: dailytimes.com.pk/
